This Privacy Policy describes how Bside Blueprint (Bside blueprint Limited, "Bside," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information. It also describes your rights and choices regarding that information.
Bside Blueprint operates a fan-engagement and messaging service for music fans. We provide artist-branded web pages, fan sign-up forms, analytics, and an email and text-message (SMS) subscription service through which fans receive updates about the artists they follow (together, the "Services" or "Sites"). The artist pages and messaging programs are operated by Bside Blueprint.
Who controls your data. Bside Blueprint is the "data controller" (the party primarily responsible for how data is handled) for the Services — including our marketing site, artist pages we operate, and our fan messaging service. When you subscribe to email or text-message updates about an artist, Bside Blueprint operates the messaging on that artist's behalf: we collect and store your consent, deliver the messages, and handle opt-outs. Text messages come from the artist, using the artist's own registered number, and we share subscriber information and engagement reporting with that artist so they can understand and serve their audience. Some third-party platforms we integrate with (such as Meta, Google, TikTok, Spotify, and Shopify) act as independent or joint controllers for their own purposes and provide their own privacy policies, and an artist's own store or website is governed by that artist's policies.
If you have questions about this policy or our data practices, contact us at hello@bsideblueprint.com, or by mail at Bside blueprint Limited, 5007 Brady Ave, Burlington, ON L7L 3X5, Canada.
We collect and use information as described below. Some information is optional, and some uses are subject to your consent or other choices as required by law.
| If you… | We may collect… | And use it to… |
|---|---|---|
| Visit an artist's Bside page or our marketing site. | IP address and similar network information, browser and device information, a first-party session identifier we generate, cookie or similar identifiers, approximate location based on IP, language/time-zone settings, referral source and marketing parameters (such as UTM tags), and page interactions (clicks, scrolling, pages viewed, length of visit). | Operate and secure the Sites, understand traffic and how the Sites are used, measure and attribute marketing performance, identify and fix technical issues, prevent fraud, and (with consent where required) build audiences for and measure online advertising. |
| Sign up for an artist's updates, enter a contest, or join a mailing list. | Email address, name, and in some cases city/country. We also record how often our emails are opened and which links are clicked. | Deliver the updates, contests, or newsletters you asked for, operate and improve those messages, create audience segments, and keep records of subscribers. |
| Opt in to receive text messages (SMS). | Mobile phone number, name, country, and in some cases your email or city, together with a record of your consent (time, source, and the consent language shown to you). | Send the text messages you opted in to (such as tour, presale, release, and merch alerts, and a welcome message), and monitor compliance with our terms and the requirements of our messaging providers and wireless carriers. See "SMS messaging disclosures" below. |
| Connect a music streaming service to pre-save or add content. | The email address associated with your streaming account (where available), your country/region, and content you interact with (such as saved tracks, followed artists, and playlists), via the streaming service's authorization. | Perform the action for the campaign you chose — such as pre-saving an unreleased release, following an artist, or adding content to your library — and to better understand fan behavior. See "Streaming and pre-save" below. |
| Make a purchase (for example, merch) through a connected store. | Order and transaction information (items, amounts, and associated contact details) received from the store platform. | Attribute the purchase, provide reporting to the artist, measure advertising, and support customer service. |
| Contact us with a question or request. | Name, email address, and any information you include in your message. | Respond to and resolve your question or request. |
In addition, we may use any information we collect to manage your rights and choices, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements, secure the Sites, prevent fraud or abuse, and protect the safety of fans, artists, and others.
We and our partners use cookies and similar technologies (including a first-party session identifier stored in your browser, tracking pixels, tags, and SDKs) to operate the Sites, remember your choices, measure performance, and — where you consent — support advertising.
To make the Sites work and to measure marketing without third-party cookies, we generate and store a first-party session identifier in your browser and record your IP address, user agent, and referral/UTM parameters. This first-party information is used for core functionality, security, and attribution.
Where required by law, third-party advertising and analytics pixels load only after you consent through our cookie banner. These may include technologies from Meta (Facebook/Instagram), Google, TikTok, and Snapchat. If you decline, we do not load these third-party pixels and we do not share third-party advertising identifiers. We also use conversion-measurement tools ("Conversions API"/server-side events) provided by these platforms; where email or phone number is used for measurement, it is irreversibly hashed (SHA-256) before being transmitted, and only when consent has been given.
You can control cookies through your browser settings and through our cookie banner. Some analytics data may be processed by Google; see Google's disclosure at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
We may share information about you in the following ways:
Text messages are sent by the artist whose updates you signed up for, from that artist's own dedicated, registered number. Bside Blueprint operates each artist's messaging program on the artist's behalf: we collect and store your consent, deliver the messages, and handle opt-outs and compliance.
SMS consent is collected separately and is never assumed. You opt in on an artist's Bside page by entering your mobile number and checking a separate, unchecked-by-default consent box. SMS consent is not required to make any purchase or to use any other part of the Services.
When you subscribe to updates, contests, or newsletters, you consent to receive email from Bside Blueprint featuring the artist you followed. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time. We handle email consent and unsubscribes consistent with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) and the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act.
If you authorize a connection to a streaming service (for example, Spotify) to pre-save or add content, we access and store limited information from your account — such as the email associated with the account (where available), your country/region, and content you interact with — until the connection expires or you revoke it. We use this connection to perform the action for the campaign you selected (such as pre-saving a release or following an artist) and to understand fan behavior. You can revoke Bside's access at any time in your streaming service's settings (for Spotify: spotify.com/account/apps), and you may request deletion of this data by emailing us.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your information; to withdraw consent; and to opt out of certain advertising or other processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@bsideblueprint.com. We will respond within the time required by applicable law (generally 30–45 days).
We keep information for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law, then delete or de-identify it. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
We and our service providers may store and process information in countries other than your own, including Canada and the United States. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as approved data-transfer agreements) for these transfers.
The Services are not directed to children under the age of majority in their jurisdiction, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it or obtain the required parental consent.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with an updated effective date and, where appropriate, communicated by email or on-site notice. Please review it periodically.
